Water Reclamation
Iran and Israel share a dry climate and a constant struggle for water. Israel's answer — decades of innovation in reuse, desalination and careful management — offers practical lessons for a future free Iran.

Reuse and desalination
Israel treats and reuses the large majority of its municipal wastewater — close to 90% by most estimates, the highest rate in the world. Most of this reclaimed water is sent to farms, freeing fresh water for homes and cities.
Alongside reuse, large seawater desalination plants along the Mediterranean coast now provide much of the country's household water, and nationwide leak detection, metering and pricing policies keep waste to a minimum.
Lessons for a future free Iran
Iran faces a severe water crisis: depleted aquifers, sinking land, and shrinking lakes such as Lake Urmia. The tools Israel has developed — reclamation, smart irrigation, careful water management — could help Iran restore its water security.
